A Day at the Range

So I went to the range and got to shoot a gun. I was so freaking scared. I have a gun here at our house but I really wasn't sure how to use it so I thought it would be best if I learned how to use one. I have to say, I hope I never have to use one for real. I don't think it is something I will ever go and do again.

Nite Out

I finally got to go out. I went with a few people from work and my neighbor and friends. We had a good time. The wonderful lady with me is Angie, we work together. She is awesome. I don't know what I would do without her. The other guy is Colin, he is my neighbor. Gary is Angie's husband who is just as awesome. They have been so good to me. I am glad to have such wonderful people I can call my friends!!! We went out to eat and later went to some bar. It was fun. They had a live band and a bunch of crazy people to go with it. I enjoyed myself, I just wish Gene could have been there with us.

Jaden is getting so big. She is always getting into something. If she doesn't get what she wants and when she wants it she will throw the biggest fit you have ever seen. I have no idea where she got that from!!! She has finally started day care, she seems to like it. She is growing up too fast!

Busy Busy

So everyone has been getting onto me for not keeping this updated but we have been busy busy. I really don't have that many pics of us. We are going to get our pictures done next Sat. so I will put those up. Jaden is doing good. She is getting so big. She has two teeth now, one on top and the other on the bottom. Gene is doing good as well. He just got back home from JRTC about 2 weeks ago. We are so glad to have him back. We hope everyone is doing well. We love and miss everyone!!!

Standing up on my own

Jaden has learned how to stand up all by herself. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it. Now she does it with no problem at all. She is getting into everything. She even is starting to get a little attitude. She must get that from her daddy!!! She is growing up so fast. She needs to slow it down just a little.

Fixing Hair!!!

So Jaden's hair is getting longer so I can start fixing it. The only problem is I don't know how. This is the best I have gotten it. It isn't even all the way around so when you pull it up it looks crazy. Hopefully for her sake I will get better at it.

So I haven't been on top of this like I should be so here are a few new pictures. We are all doing well. Jaden has almost learned how to sit up by herself from a crawling position. I took her to the docotor today and she weighs 22lbs. They said she looks great. Gene is busy with work and I am board out of my mind when I am not busy with Jaden. We will be moving into our house in a little over a week and we can't wait. I am sooooo excited. Hope everyone is doing well. We love and miss you all.

This is an older picture of Jaden, but it is one of my favorites. Me, Gene, Dione (his sister), and Jaden were going to the Peanut Festivle in Dothan. It had gotten pretty cold that night and we had to stop at the store to get Jaden a hat and mittens. While Gene and I went inside Dione stayed with baby. She had gotten fussy so Dione took her out of her carseat and when we got back t o the car this is what we saw. I think it is too cute!!!

The top pic is my friends daughter Aiyana. They live in New Jersey. She is about 6 months older than Jaden. I really think this is her twin. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it.

The Alaskian Boogie Man

Gene finally went back to work. They gave him all of his winter gear and this is one of the jackets. He looks to funny but at least it keeps him warm. I call him the Alaskian Boogie Man!!! And check out those boots!

Help I'm Stuck

So as you know Jaden is now crawling. She is into everything. Well the other night she was crawling around and she got stuck. It was pretty funny. She tried and tried but just couldn't get out. She would give you that look like why are you staring at me, come over here and get me please. After a few minuets of her trying we finally helped her out and she was back on the go.

At the hotel

So we have been staying in the hotel since Dec. 6 and we are so ready to move into our new house. We still have about a month or so until it is finished. We move into the duplex in the next few days, so at least we will be out of the hotel. Jaden is getting big and crawling all over the place. She has learned how to use her vocal chords very well. We hope everyone had a wonderful New Years!

Christmas 07

Well this was Jaden's 1st Christmas and we got to spend it in a hotel. We didn't do much. We had little one open her gifts and later went over to a friends house. Next year should be better. We will have our house and can decorate, get more in the Christmas spirit. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Jaden loves her daddy more than anything else. They are always acting a fool together. He is the only one to make her laugh. I try so hard but haven't had any luck. I must admit, I am a little bit jealous.

The Beginning

This is the very first post on our new blog, we are super excited to share our adventures with all of our friends and family. This week, we will be picking up our life and moving to Alaska where Gene will be joining his first unit as an Army helicopter pilot. He is going to be flying the OH-58, Kiowa Warrior. He is thrilled to embark on this new path in his career. Heather is loving being a mom teaching Jaden all things and watching her grow. She is a real beauty, and she's ready to be on the move. We can't wait to see all of the things that this life has in store for us, and we're glad we can share it all with you.
